Frisco Elementary School

Frisco Elementary School. Frisco ISD is using materials such as Icynene to make their new schools healthier, quieter, more energy efficient, and more durable. This new elementary school opening August 2004 is the first in Frisco to feature the Icynene Insulation System. FISD was attracted to Icynene for it's ability to control moisture movement through walls. Windows over the hallways provide natural light but could also be an air leakage problem. Icynene seals all of these potential air leakage points. |

Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church

Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church. Spraying Icynene in the walls and on the underside of the roof deck of this church addition allowed the owners to save about $30,000 on the cost of the sprinkler system, which no longer needed freeze protection. The entire envelope of the new addition to this church was insulated with Icynene. Plans called for a 25,000 sq. ft. addition of classroom, office and fellowship hall space. |
Medical Office

Baylor Medical
 |
Baylor Medical. Baylor was expanding their Irving Medical Center and requested Icynene for this walkway between two of the buildings. This walkway connects the parking garage with the main hospital building. Extra care was taken while spraying to prevent drift of overspray. The steel deck to which the Icynene was applied required no special preparation. The exposed nature of the walkway floor made it a perfect application for Icynene's air sealing ability. |
McCommas Bluff Eco Business Park

McCommas Bluff Eco Business Park. This project for the City of Dallas was their first building certified by the US Green Building Councils LEED program. This office building is located south of Dallas near the old land fill. Steel studs were set out from the concrete panels to allow Icynene to create a thermal break between the two when it was sprayed. Icynene was sprayed in all exterior walls, while SIPs panels were used for the roof. The finished building recieved a LEED silver designation for increased efficiency and reduced environmental impact. |
Architect Office

Architect Office. This architect’s office was built on an elevated pier and beam foundation. Spraying the underside of the floor with Icynene was a logical solution to this exposed situation. |

Frisco Day Care

Frisco Day Care. This day care facility will be healthier, quieter and more energy efficient with the Icynene Insulation System. The children in this day care will enjoy better indoor air because of the Icynene Insulation System. Icynene will seal out outdoor pollutants such as dust, pollen, and mold spores. Icynene will also help lower the opperating cost of the facility. Insulating the underside of the roof deck instead of the ceiling allowed this sprinkler system to be installed without any additional freeze protection. |
Montessori School

Montessori School. This new Montessori school featured a large circular dome. The shape of this feature would have been difficult to insulate with traditional materials and would likely have been a problem area if the owners had not selected Icynene. |

Office Space. This wood frame office building will see all the same benefits that a home insulated with Icynene does—Healthier, Quieter, More Energy Efficient.

Construction Company Office
 |
Construction Company Office. This construction company’s new office was built with CMU walls and a metal roof deck. Icynene bonds very well to concrete and steel and was a perfect solution to insulate the roof deck and seal down to the top of the CMU wall. The owner also decided to spray Icynene between the two floors to minimize sound transfer.
