We have a passion for helping people create the healthiest most energy efficient home possible. Out of sincere concern for people with allergies and asthma we dedicate significant time and resources to educating builders and consumers about the systems approach. The home must function as a system to get all of the health and energy efficiency benefits (see Building Science). Traditional insulation, such as fiberglass (itchy pink stuff) and cellulose (ground newspaper), simply don’t have any health benefits and they have limited energy saving benefits. Icynene is a unique insulation product. It is sprayed in as a liquid then expands 100 times into a soft plastic foam. The foam offers a continuous protective barrier around the building. Growing concern about the environment, energy costs, mold and indoor air quality has fueled the company’s growth.
