Dallas Zero Energy Home This project was sponsored by Building Science Corporation and it is the team leader for the Building America Building Science Consortium. For the past 7 years, the Department of Energy's Building America program has linked innovative and forward-thinking builders, product manufacturers, and building researchers into teams for change, teams to produce quality homes that use less energy at little to no added cost but lots of added value.
House Talk. This is a 2300 square foot new home in Lewisville, Texas, designed to blend with an early 20th century neighborhood and meet the needs of empty-nesters through its design, energy-efficiency, easy maintenance and environmentally-friendly construction.
Bannister House. Award-winning architect William Peck, (William Peck & Associates) and builder Chris Miles (GreenCraft Builders LLC) have teamed up to build this unique, affordable, and environmentally friendly home. The Bannister High-Performance House is a demonstration project for the US Department of Energy's "Building America" program to encourage homeowners and builders to live and build in a more fiscally and environmentally sensible manner.
