 1. Thermal Envelope
- Icynene Insulation applied to walls and underside of the roof deck
- Completely sealed, unvented attic
- All ductwork located within conditioned space
2. High Performance Heating and Cooling
- Properly sized A/C
- Transfer grills in all rooms without hard ducted returns
- Improved air filtration
3. Fresh Air Ventilation
- Fresh air intake tied to return side of A/C
- Ventilation system maintains positive pressure on house
- Recirculating air maintains more even temperatures throughout the house
4. Combustion Appliances
- All gas appliances should be sealed combustion with supply air
- Positive house pressure eliminates backdrafting
5. Pollution Ventilation
- All bath and kitchen fans should vent to the outside
- These fans should be operated during cooking and showering activites
